Ellsworth Hymnal: Gospel Praise Book. #261 (1885) First Line: Ever let thy hand be busy Refrain First Line: Work then for the blessed Master Lyrics: 1 Ever let thy hand be busy, Lay the threads out one by one; Ever ply time’s ceaseless shuttle, Till life’s work is nobly done. Chorus: Work then for the blessed Master! He is with thee day by day; Be Thou faithful to thy calling; Work away! yes, work away! 2 Never heed the idlers round thee, Watchful be with patient eye; Mark thou well the noble pattern, And thy life-work beautify.
