1 He that believes and is baptized
Shall see the Lord's salvation;
For he that is by Christ baptized,
He is a new creation.
Through Christ's redemption he shall stand
Among the glorious heav'nly band
Of ev'ry tribe and nation.
2 With one accord, O God, we pray:
Grant us Thy Holy Spirit;
Save us from sin's infirmity
Through Jesus' blood and merit.
O grant that through Thy grace this day,
Thy grace unmerited, we may
Eternal life inherit.
3 Baptized into the triune name,
Father, Son, Holy Spirit,
Through grace a lowly place we claim
In Jesus' blood and merit.
Baptized by Christ and dead to sin,
Thy Spirit now shall live within,
Since we Thy life inherit.
Amen.
