My Heart Is Burning With His Love

Author: C. H. M. Hymnal: Songs of Praise and Salvation #22 (1902) First Line: ‘Twas when to Christ I fully gave Lyrics: 1 ‘Twas when to Christ I fully gave My heart, my life, my all; The gift of His redeeming grace On me did sweetly fall. Refrain: My heart is burning with His love, My heart is burning with His love, The fire comes down from heav’n above; My heart is burning with His love. 2 ‘Twas when I felt all else was vain, That Christ was first and best; The “Dove of Peace” form glory came, And comfort filled my breast. [Refrain] 3 The gift tho’ small the Saviour saw Upon the altar lie; And sent from heav’n a living flame The gift to sanctify. [Refrain] 4 On us descend, O heavenly Dove, Till every soul is thrilled; Till with the fullness of Thy love Our every heart is filled. [Refrain] Tune Title: [‘Twas when to Christ I fully gave]
