Bourne Meter: 8.9.8.9 with refrain Appears in 5 hymnals Refrain First Line: Then with faith and with hope Lyrics: 1 When tempests of sorrow arise, And the storm-cloud still heavily rolls, A rainbow bends over the skies— “In you patience possess ye your souls!” Refrain: Then with faith and with hope, Let us patiently wait, let us patiently wait for the Lord; He will guide, He will save, If we fearlessly trust, if we fearlessly trust in His word! 2 When threatening foes shall assail, Let us never give way to a fear; He’ll suffer no ill to prevail If we earnestly seek Him in prayer.
