Hymnal: Melodies of Salvation #241 (1901) First Line: Oh, what love Christ showed for me Refrain First Line: Jesus' love, His love to me Lyrics: 1 Oh, what love Christ showed for me In His death on Calvary; Love like His was never known, Oh, it broke my heart of stone. Chorus: Jesus’ love, His love to me He displayed on Calvary; Never love like His was known, Oh, it broke my heart of stone. 2 Oft on wings of faith I soar Where in blood my sins He bore, Where for all the world was shown Love that broke my heart of stone. [Chorus] 3 Why, oh, why did Jesus die, Die for one so vile as I? ‘Twas His love, His love alone, Love that broke my heart of stone. [Chorus] 4 Here and in my home above I will praise Him for His love; Love that bro’t Him from His throne, Love that broke my heart of stone. [Chorus] Languages: English Tune Title: [Oh, what love Christ showed for me]
