Chime On Sweet Bells

Author: Fronia Smith Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: Into Thy presence blest Refrain First Line: Chime on, chime on Lyrics: 1 Into Thy presence blest, Dear Lord, we cheerful come; Sweet peace pervades Thy house, This truly is our home; The bells’ soft accents rise and fall Upon the air, inviting all Thy house to seek, Thy love to share, E’er guarded by Thy watchful care. Chorus: Chime on, chime on, Chime on sweet bells, chime on, Chime on, chime on, Chime on sweet bells, chime on. 2 ‘Tis here we gather strength, For each oncoming day; ‘Tis here we banish grief, And anxious care away; With hearts made glad we list the call, Of chiming bells, entreating all To find surcease of sorrow here, And comfort from Thy presence dear. [Chorus] Used With Tune: [Into Thy presence blest]
