The Grand Old Ark

Author: C. H. M. Hymnal: Songs of the Century #110 (1900) First Line: See the ark of God, on the waters launched Refrain First Line: They are coming, yes, they're coming Lyrics: 1 See the ark of God, on the waters launched, While the waves are tossing high; To her broad, firm deck for safety flee, No other refuge nigh. Refrain: They are coming, yes, they're coming, They are coming to the ark tonight; Like doves to their windows they are flocking, flocking, They are coming to the ark tonight. 2 Like the wand'ring dove, no rest you'll find In the wild, dark waste of sin; And Christ at the window waiting stands, To take the poor wand'rers in. [Refrain] 3 Many million souls on her decks now stand, And millions coming still; For the Captain's voice o'er the sea resounds, “Come all whosoever will.” [Refrain] 4 Oh, the grand old ark, she will still sail on, Till the storms of life are past; Then with Christ our Captain at the helm, She'll enter the port at last. [Refrain] Languages: English Tune Title: [See the ark of God, on the waters launched]
