A Burden Bearer

Author: Eben E. Rexford Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: One of Christ’s burden bearers Refrain First Line: One of Christ’s burden bearers Lyrics: 1 One of Christ’s burden bearers, I follow where He leads, Content to trust Him wholly Who knoweth all my needs; The way may seem most dreary, And lead thro’ desert land, But God is always near me, My wants to understand. Refrain: One of Christ’s burden bearers, To Him for help I call. And knowing He will answer, I trust Him all in all. 2 I know His love will guide me Along this earthly vale, For never one who trusted Has known a promise fail; In dark and stormy weather, Above the tempest wild, I hear Him saying softly, “Have faith in me, my child.” [Refrain] 3 One of Christ’s burden bearers, In His I sink my will, And when His cross seems heavy, Christ is my comfort still; My heart grows stronger, braver, At thought of what He bore, Content a burden bearer To be forevermore. [Refrain] Used With Tune: [One of Christ’s burden bearers]
