Come to the Savior

Author: G. B. Hymnal: Full Redemption Songs #164 (1933) First Line: Come, come to the Savior, poor, sin-burdened soul Refrain First Line: Come, come to the Savior Lyrics: 1 Come, come to the Savior, poor, sin-burdened soul, Come bring Him thy sorrow, He will make thee whole; He’s full of compassion, boundless is His love, To seek and to save you, He came from above. Refrain: Come, come to the Savior, angels sweetly sing; Come, come to the Savior, bell of heaven ring; While Jesus is pleading, while thy loved ones pray, Come, come to the Savior, no longer delay. 2 Come, come to the Savior, Oh, hear His sweet voice, Come ye that are weary, make Him now your choice; He waits to be gracious, longs to pardon thee, Thy chains He will sever, come now and be free. [Refrain] 3 Come, come to the Savior, He’ll give thee sweet rest, Come lay down thy burden, lean upon His breast; So long thou hast wandered, weary, sad and lone, Thy Saviour is calling, “poor wand’rer come home.” [Refrain] 4 Come, come to the Savior, the night cometh on, Come, come to the Savior, day will soon be gone; His Spirit so tender will not strive alway, The harvest is passing, come, while it is day.
