A Place in the Ranks for You

Author: C. H. M. Hymnal: Sunday School Voices #128 (1910) First Line: Arouse, ye Christian soldiers Refrain First Line: There's a place in the ranks for you Lyrics: 1 Arouse, ye Christian soldiers, Equip ye for the fight; Behold the hosts of evil Arrayed against the right; The battle lines are forming, And o’er the hills afar, With crash and peal incessant, Resounds the din of war. Refrain: There’s a place in the ranks for you, A place in the ranks for you, With the brave and true who are going thro’, There’s a place in the ranks for you; There’s a place in the ranks for you, A place in the ranks for you, With the brave and true who are going thro’, There’s a place in the ranks for you. 2 Put on the gospel armor, Go with the Spirit’s sword And helmet of salvation To battle for the Lord; No foe can stand before you When thus with might arrayed; The God of hosts is with you, Then be ye not dismayed. [Refrain] 3 With awful devastation, Great fields are lying waste, And for their reclamation, God bids his armies haste; Your strength may be but feeble, Your talents may be few, But in the gospel army There is a place for you. [Refrain] Topics: Rally Day Languages: English Tune Title: [Arouse, ye Christian soldiers]
