The Master’s Call

Author: Chas. Reign Scoville Appears in 2 hymnals First Line: Another day's ended, the sermon is thro' Refrain First Line: 'Tis a personal call thro' His own blessed word Lyrics: 1 Another day’s ended, the sermon is thro’, And Christ’s invitation is given to you; “Confess before men and escape sin’s dark snare, With Father and angels my glory you’ll share.” Refrain: ‘Tis a personal call thro’ His own blessed word, Will you accept now or reject your own Lord? The choice is with you, so do not delay, As you answer Him now, He will answer that day. 2 Oh, brother you’re needed to help men arise; Your soul needs a home over there in the skies; The wrongs must be righted in ev’ry day strife, Before you are worthy of eternal life. [Refrain] 3 Decide it tonight and for Christ take your stand, In ev’ry hard trial He’ll give you His hand; Each vict’ry will help you and stronger you’ll be, A true Christian soldier saved eternally. [Refrain] 4 The angels are waiting to bear home your name, Come glorify Jesus, don’t put Him to shame; Be done with indiff’rence, accept now His call, In life or in death, then, He’ll save you thro’ all. [Refrain] Used With Tune: [Another day's ended, the sermon is thro']
