Schuette, Conrad Herman Louis, was born at Vurrel. Hannover, Germany, June 17, 1843, and in 1873 became a Professor in the Capital University, Columbus, Ohio. He contributed 5 original hymns and several translations from the German to the Evangelical Lutheran Hymnal Columbus, Ohio, 1880, under the signature of "C. H. L. S."
