36. Going Down to Judgment

1 Almost you’ve settled the question,
Solemnly counting the cost;
Listen today, turn while you may,
Almost may mean fully lost.

You are going down to judgment,
Going down to judgment,
Walking where the lost have trod,
O stop, just now, and think,
E’er you reach the awful brink,
Prepare to meet thy God.

2 Just on the threshold you’re standing,
Why do you still turn away;
Life is so dear, death is so near,
Come to the Saviour today. [Refrain]

3 Soon you must make your decision,
Come , and no longer refuse;
Now while you may, choose life today,
Do not God’s mercy abuse. [Refrain]

4 Jesus has died to redeem you,
Offers you life through His blood;
You must repent, or soon lament,
Banished forever from God. [Refrain]
