We Shall Sing the Glad New Song

We shall sing the glad, new song

Author: Ida L. Reed
Tune: [We shall sing the glad, new song]
Published in 1 hymnal

Audio files: MIDI

Representative Text

1 We shall sing the glad, new song,
Over on the golden shore,
With the holy, happy throng,
When these toiling days are o’er.

Refrain:
We shall sing the glad new song,
We shall sing the glad new song,
We shall sing the glad new song,
Over yonder by and by.

2 We shall learn the joyful strain,
When have passed life’s fleeting days
Since the tender, sweet refrain,
Full of glad thanksgiving praise. [Refrain]

3 Evermore the notes shall rise
Sweet and clear in tones of love,
Blessed anthems of the skies,
Gladd’ning all the realms above. [Refrain]
