Representative Text

1 Lord of the harvest, we fervently pray,
Send forth more laborers, send them today;
Sowers to scatter the life-giving seed,
Reapers to thrust in the sickle, we plead.

Chorus:
Lord of the harvest, send me, send me!
Send forth more laborers, lord, send me!
Fields are whitening,
Skies are brightening,
Send forth more laborers, Lord, send me.

2 Lord, in Thy service, there’s room for us all,
May we who listen respond to Thy call;
Seeking Thy glory, we’ll surely be blest,
Take us and use us as Thou shalt see best. [Chorus]

3 With Thine anointing, now set us apart,
Give us the love that makes willing the heart;
Willing to serve in Thy own chosen way,
Willing to follow Thy steps ev’ry day. [Chorus]

4 Lord of the harvest, we fervently pray,
Send forth more laborers, send them today;
Home or abroad, on the land or the sea,
make us Thy messengers; Master, send me. [Chorus]
