Representative Text

1. I’ve found a blessèd hiding place,
A happy refuge know,
When dark and heavy clouds replace
The morning’s golden glow.

Refrain
In the blessèd, blessèd hiding place,
My soul for gladness sings;
I’m covered by my Savior’s love,
Beneath the sheltering wings.

2. As little birds within the nest
Are gathered safe and warm;
So, close against my Savior’s breast,
I’m hiding from the storm. [Refrain]

3. More tender than a mother’s love,
The love that shields me here;
His eyes still keeping watch above,
His voice dispelling fear. [Refrain]

4. Not for a moment would I leave
This blessèd hiding place;
Thy promise, Savior, I believe,
O keep me, by Thy grace. [Refrain]
