Representative Text

1 In the midst of temptation,
In the thick of the fight,
In our seasons of sorrow,
When we long for the light;
When the sweet links are broken,
And the ties, true and fond,
There's a hope we may cherish
Of a bright world beyond.

Chorus:
There's a bright world beyond,
Yes, a bright world beyond,
Sling, O children of Zion,
There's a bright world beyond.

2 There the Lamb is the glory,
Neither sun, moon, nor star,
For the Light everlasting,
Sheds its radiance afar;
Let us cling to our Saviour,
Let us strengthen love's bond,
As we march to His palace,
In the bright world beyond. [Chorus]

3 When we pass thro' the valley,
Where the shadows are dim,
If we're resting in Jesus,
Sweetly leaning on Him;
Then, to Heaven's hosannas,
We shall gladly respond,
As we enter the portals
Of the bright world beyond. [Chorus]
