Representative Text

1 If you know a kindly word,
Tell it out today;
Let its wondrous strains be heard,
Tell it out today,
Hearts of sorrow, grief and care
Crowd the pathway everywhere,
Waiting for its sweetness rare,
Tell it out today.

Refrain:
Tell it out today,
Tell it out today;
If you know a kindly word,
Tell it out today;
Tell it out today,
Tell it out today;
If you know a kindly word,
Tell it out today.

2 If you know a song of cheer,
Tell it out today;
Till the lonely ones shall hear,
Tell it out today.
There are many in the throng,
Crushed and daunted by the strong,
Who have listened for your song—
Tell it out today. [Refrain]

3 If you have a word of love,
Tell it out today;
Weary souls may look above,
Tell it out today.
Let its radiance clear and bright,
Like a beacon in the night,
Lead another to the light,
Tell it out today. [Refrain]
