Hall's edition of Beddome's (posthumous) Hymns, &c, 1817, No. 362, in 4 stanzas of 4 lines, and entitled, “Hope alone from the Gospel." Its use in Great Britain is limited, but in America it is extensive; but in most cases either abbreviated or altered. Original text in the Hymnal of the Methodist Episcopal Church, 1878, No. 314, with "Convinced of guilt," &c, for "Burdened with guilt," &c, in stanza i. line 3.
