Father, Bless Thy Word

Representative Text

1 Father, bless thy Word to me,
Touch my eyes that I may see
Some new message from above,
Something of Thy tender love.

Chorus:
Wonderful Word, wonderful Word,
Wonderful Word of love;
Father, bless Thy Word to me,
Wonderful Word of love.

2 Ev'ry lesson that I rea
Will to Jesus sweetly lead,
Tell me of His life laid down,
Of His manger, cross and crown. [Chorus]

3 Like the dew upon the flow'rs,
Like the gentle falling show'rs,
Let Thy word of blessing fall,
Smile, dear Lord, upon us all. [Chorus]
