1 All for Christ! be this our fervent pray’r;
O for grace to live for Him alone;
All for Him whose ever loving care
Ev’ry day has shown.
Refrain:
Hallelujah! all for Jesus,
All for Christ, my Saviour;
Life grows brighter day by day,
Led along His holy way,
Hallelujah! All for Jesus,
All for Christ, my Saviour,
His entirely would we be
Till His face we see.
2 All for Christ! with service good and true;
Consecrate to Him the flying hour;
His own strength your ardor will renew,
Gird your soul with pow’r. [Refrain]
3 Praise the Lord, who bo’t you with a price;
Be His name exalted evermore;
Live for Him, a willing sacrifice,
Praise Him o’er and o’er. [Refrain]

However, she developed a spinal malady which cut short her career and made her a shut-in for many years. During her convalescence, she studied English literature. She felt a need to be useful to her church and began writing poems for the primary department. she went on to teach Sunday school, take an active part in the Philadelphia Elementary Union and become Superintendent of the primary department of Calvin Presbyterian Church.
