Look On Me

Representative Text

1 A glance from thine eye, and tears flow unbidden,
We weep that our Saviour should grieve,
We bring to thy feet the sin that lies hidden,
Assured thou wilt freely forgive.

Chorus:
In love and compassion,
Oh, look thou on me!
With tender persuasion,
Lord, draw me to thee!

2 A glance from thine eye, and faith grows confiding,
Trusts all in the arms of thy love,
And knows that the path in which thou art guiding,
Will lead to the kingdom above. [Chorus]

3 A glance from thine eye, and love shall be burning,
And breathing its incense on high,
While bringing a soul that is earnestly yearning,
To live for thy glory, or die. [Chorus]
