Edward Munro

1815 - 1866 Author of "Jesus, my Savior, what didst thou see" Edward Monro was the eldest son of Edward Monro, M.D., of London, and was born in 1815. He was educated at Oriel College, Oxford (B.A. 1836). Ordained in 1837, he became Incumbent of Harrow-Weald in 1842, and Vicar of St. John's, Leeds, 1860. He died Dec. 13, 1866. He published several Allegories, Sermons, and other works which have mainly gone out of use. --John Julian, Dictionary of Hymnology, Appendix, Part II (1907)
