Author of "I Met The Master Face To Face" in Gospel Gems In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries.

1931 - 2015 Author, Chorus of "I Met The Master Face To Face" in Gospel Gems Tommy E. Wheeler came from a singing family. His father, Palmer, and uncle Roy sang gospel music in the first Stamps Quartet. He studied music at Abilene Christian College (now University) and composed and wrote several gospel songs, including I Love The Lord, The Way of Truth, I Met The Master Face to Face, and Live For Him.
