Come enter the battle, be bold in the strife. Refrain: The trumpet is sounding, we're off to the fray, Immanuel's banner we'll lift up today. Then onward, still onward in his name we go, Till all of his creatures the Lord's name will know. 2 Our Captain is calling for volunteers now, Let all to his mandates submissively bow; Not life and not friends let any hold dear While cries of the needy break out on your ear. [Refrain] 3 Oh, who then will go in the strength of the Lord, Uplifting his banner, proclaiming his word? Who will help to redeem dying souls from the grave, In telling of Jesus the mighty to save? I'm Going Through

Author: H. B.; Thoro Harris Hymnal: Timeless Truths #590 Meter: 10.11.10.11 with refrain First Line: Lord, I have started to walk in the light Refrain First Line: I’m going through, I’m going through Lyrics: 1 Lord, I have started to walk in the light That shines on my pathway so clearly, so bright; I’ve bade the world and its follies adieu, And now with my Savior I mean to go through. Refrain: I’m going through, I’m going through, I’ll pay the price, whatever others do; I’ll take the way with the Lord’s despised few; I’m going through, Jesus, I’m going through. 2 Many once started to run in this race, But with our Redeemer they could not keep pace; Others accepted because it was new, But not very many seem bound to go through. [Refrain] 3 Let me but follow my Lord all alone, And have for my pillow, like Jacob, a stone, Rather than vain worldly pleasures pursue, Than turn from this pathway and fail to go through. [Refrain] 4 Come then, my comrades, and walk in this way That leads to the kingdom of unending day; Turn from your idols and join with the few, Start in with your Savior, and keep going through. [Refrain] Topics: Decision Scripture: Matthew 7:14 Tune Title: [Lord, I have started to walk in the light]
