1833 - 1917 Person Name: J. B. Beall Author of "The Willow and the Oak" in The Cyber Hymnal John Bramblett Beall was born in Georgia on March 19, 1833. He served in the Civil War. He wrote a book of poems and short stories "In Barrack and Field: poems and sketches of army life" (Publishing House of the M. E.Church South, Nashville: 1906) and was a newspaper editor. B. B.
