W. Clifford Petty is a 1986 graduate of Eufaula High School. He received his Bachelors and Master degrees from Alabama State University. In 2022 he received an honorary Doctorate from Graham Theological Seminary. He spent ten years teaching at the historic Saint Jude High School in Montgomery, Alabama and twenty years at Resurrection Catholic School. For the last 31 years, he has served as Pastoral Musician and Composer in Residence at Resurrection Catholic Church. He also spent a combination of 25 years as Minister of Music at Brown Memorial and Capitol City Church of God in Christ where he also served as Montgomery District Music Supervisor. He is a published composer with World Library Publications and GIA Music. Petty has works published in 7 hymnals. In February of 2023, Petty debuted his musical talents at Carnegie Hall. He has recorded four solo CDs on the World Library Publications label and several other recordings with other solo artists and choirs. He's a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity and the Knights of Peter Claver. He's the proud father of LaKeyla and the grandfather of Landon and Journee.
