He served as a Church of Christ min­ister at churche­s in Lan­cas­ter, Wea­ther­ford, Cis­co, Abi­lene, Ter­rell, Cle­burne, Me­lis­sa, and Den­i­son, Texas, and did con­sid­er­a­ble evan­gel­is­tic work.
