Simon Born Champion (* 31 May 1632 in Nuremberg; † 8. December 1688) was a German Lutheran theologian and poet of hymns.

After Magisterexamen 1654 at the University of Altdorf, he worked at several schools of his native city of Nuremberg as a teacher. He also served as rector of the hospital school. 1683 he moved to the Sebalderschule. In 1687, he became professor of history at Egidiengymnasium.

Born champion was winning member of Pegnesischen flower North. He published 80 sacred songs that were present in church partially up into the 19th century.
