51. Gather the Golden Sheaves

1 Sowing beside all waters,
Whoso the word believes,
From the wide fields of service,
Gather the golden sheaves.
Scatter the seeds of blessing,
Scatter them all around,
Over the barren hillside,
Over the fertile ground.

Joy, joy sowing beside all waters,
Joy, joy, joy the heart receives,
Sheaves, sheaves,
Gather the sheaves for Jesus,

2 Sowing beside all waters,
Whereso our lot is cast,
Hastening hour redeeming,
Till the brief day is past.
Now while the sun is shining,
Now while the sky is bright,
Gather the sheaves for Jesus,
Toil in the Master’s might. [Refrain]

3 Sowing beside all waters,
He will our baskets fill,
Scatter His bounty freely,
More will be given still,
Gather the sheaves for Jesus,
Till He shall bid us “come,”
