Text: | Who’ll Take the Life-Boat? |
Author: | W. H. Morris |
Tune: | [Many souls are in the tempest] |
Composer: | Chas. Edw. Pollock |
1 Many souls are in the tempest
Sinking in the wreck of sin;
Jesus is the only Life-boat—
Who will go and help them in?
Refrain:
Who, today, will take the Life-Boat?
With the Spirit as the oar,
Who’ll go quickly to the rescue,
Bring them safely to the shore?
2 See, the darkness gathers ‘round them,
And the waves are rolling high;
Who will take to them the Life-boat?
Who’ll help save them ere they die? [Refrain]
3 Who will join the crew of rescue,
Grasp with steady hand the oar,
Take to them the only Life-boat,
That will land them safe on shore? [Refrain]
