Text: | I Will Never Move Again |
Author: | J. M. H. |
Tune: | [I am often tossed and driven] |
Composer: | J. M. Henson |
1 I am often tossed and driven
O’er this weary pilgrim land,
Often footsore, lone and weary,
Scarcely having strength to stand;
But I’m looking unto Jesus,
For He doth my soul sustain,
And when I shall go to meet Him,
I will never move again.
Refrain:
I will never move again,
No I’ll never move again,
I’ve a title to a mansion
Thro’ my Savior who was slain.
And when I get home to glory,
I will never move again.
2 I may never own a cottage
Polished with earth’s shining gold,
Never have great wealth like many,
Who their earthly titles hold;
But I’m heir to a bright mansion
Where with Jesus I shall reign,
And when He shall call me yonder,
I will never move again. [Refrain]
3 Often I am weary waiting
For the call to yonder strand,
Keeping in the path of duty,
Holding to my Savior’s hand;
Trying to be true and faithful
To my Savior who was slain,
So when I shall meet Him yonder,
I will never move again. [Refrain]
