Text: | God's Storehouse |
Author: | Rev. Johnson Oatman, Jr. |
Tune: | [God's storehouse in heaven is filled to the brim] |
Composer: | Adam Geibel |
1 God’s storehouse in heaven is filled to the brim
With all that we mortals may need;
And all that we’re needing is promised by him,
If only his promise we plead.
Chorus:
Then send to the storehouse, yes send ev’ry day,
Those good things are stored up for you;
The best of God’s blessings he’ll send if you pray,
His promise is faithful and true.
2 That storehouse o’erfloweth with infinite love,
‘Tis filled to the top with God’s grace;
And treasures abounding are laid up above,
While mercy is filling her place. [Chorus]
3 A room in that storehouse is filled up with joy,
Another is fill’d with God’s peace;
Another has gold without any alloy,
And one has from sin sweet release. [Chorus]
4 Why then do you hunger and thirst here below?
Why suffer with famine or pain?
For God has a storehouse to which you may go,
He’ll give more than you can contain. [Chorus]
