Text: | Triumphal Song |

Tune: | [Riding on comes the King of the lowly] |
Composer: | Bertha F. John |
1 Riding on comes the King of the lowly
To the city of David so fair;
His disciples are shouting “Hosanna!”
As the palm branches wave in air;
The people are asking in wonder,
“Who cometh?” The multitude sing,
“This is Jesus, the Nazarene Teacher,
This is Jesus, the Prophet King.”
Refrain:
Shout, Hosanna! Greet the King!
Lo, peace in heaven, glory in the highest!
Let the whole earth resound with Hosannas;
Glory be to the Prophet King!
2 Riding on comes the King in His glory,
But the people still ask, “Who is this?”
Let us give Him our fullest allegiance,
Nor betray with a traitor’s kiss.
Our lives tell the worth of our message,
Tho’ lips tell the message we bring:—
Love for Jesus, the Nazarene Teacher,
Love for Jesus, the Prophet King. [Refrain]
