109. Beneath the Fountain

1 There is in the house of David
A fountain deep and wide,
And it flows from Calv’ry’s mountain,
Where Christ was crucified.

Chorus:
There is glory in my soul,
And my hallelujahs roll,
For I’ve been beneath the fountain,
And the blood hath made me whole.

2 For the healing of the nations
‘Twas opened by our Lord,
Millions who have tried the fountain
Thro’ grace have been restored. [Chorus]

3 “Tho’ your sins may be as scarlet,”
Come to the fountain’s flow;
“Tho’ they may be red like crimson,
I’ll make them white as snow.” [Chorus]

4 When I reach the streets of glory,
With all the blood-wash’d throng,
I will gave on Christ the fountain,
While louder swells the song. [Chorus]
