Tune: | [Once more we assemble] |

1 Once more we assemble
At this Easter time,
While the birds are singing,
And the sweet bells chime.
Once again has springtime
Come our hearts to cheer,
Bringing with it Easter,
Best day of the year.
Chorus:
Set the bells to ringing,
Sweetly let them chime,
May each heart be happy,
At this Easter time.
2 Soft the winds are blowing
Over hill and dale,
While the flow'rs are blooming
Sweetly in the vale.
From the death of winter
Earth awakes once more,
Now each day appearing
Brighter than before. [Chorus]
3 'Twas upon the Easter
That our Lord arose,
Coming forth triumphant
Over all His foes.
While the fiends of darkness
Backward then were hurled,
Rose to shed His glory
O'er a sin-cursed world. [Chorus]
4 Let me learn the lessons
Of the Eastertide,
Let us spread its blessing
Ever far and wide.
For as rose the Saviour
We shall also rise,
And if we are faithful
Dwell in Paradise. [Chorus]
