Text: | Wide as the world is your command |
Author: | Isaac Watts |
Tune: | BRODIE |
Composer: | Robert F. Swift |
Wide as the world is your command;
vast as eternity your love;
firm as a rock your truth shall stand,
when rolling years shall cease to move.
God, as your people, in your care,
our hearts and souls, and all our frame,
what lasting tributes should you hear,
almighty Maker, to your name?
We'll near your gates with thankful songs,
high as the heavens, our voices raised;
and earth, with all ten thousand tongues,
shall fill your courts with sounding praise.
