285. Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

1. Praise to the Lord! the Almighty, the King of creation!
O my soul, praise him, for he is my health and salvation!
All you who hear,
Now to his presence draw near;
Join me in glad adoration!

2. Praise to the Lord! who o'er all things is wondrously reigning,
Shelters us under his wings, yea, is gently sustaining!
Have you not seen
How your desires all have been
Granted in what he's ordaining?

3. Praise to the Lord, who does prosper our work and defend us;
Surely his goodness and mercy here daily attend us;
Ponder anew
What the Almighty can do
If with his love he befriend us!

4. Praise to the Lord! Oh, let all that is in my adore him!
All that has life and breath, come now, with praises before him!
Let the Amen
Sound from his people again;
Gladly forever adore him!
