Text: | We’ll Meet Again |
Author: | E. E. Hewitt |
Tune: | [Praise God! We'll see the friends we love] |
Composer: | Mrs. W. S. Nickle |
1 Praise God! We’ll see the friends we love,
When by His grace we meet above;
When at the peaceful eventide,
Our ships into the haven glide.
Refrain:
We’ll meet upon another shore,
Where pain and sorrow come no more;
Where loving friends walk hand in hand,
We’ll meet upon the radiant strand.
2 How sweet shall be our welcome there!
How bright the faces, and how fair;
What happy greetings we shall hear,
When in the Homeland we appear. [Refrain]
3 This joyous hope the spirit cheers,
And stays the bitter flood of tears;
The burdened heart will Christ sustain,
Till at His side we meet again. [Refrain]
4 In blissful chorus, we shall raise
Eternal jubilees of praise;
Our voices shall together ring,
While “Jesus and His love” we sing. [Refrain]
