7. Homeward Bound

1 Waves are rolling high, ‘neath a stormy sky,
As I sail o’er life’s ocean wide;
But I have no fear as my course I steer,
For my Pilot is by my side.

Refrain:
Homeward bound, homeward bound,
Sailing over the ocean of life,
I shall have no fear with my Pilot near,
For I’m homeward bound.

2 Many dangers hide ‘neath the swelling tide,
But a compass and chart have I,
Safely guiding me o’er the restless sea
Till the harbor of peace is nigh. [Refrain]

3 To the stormy gale I have flung my sail,
I am nearing the harbor-land;
I shall cease to roam, soon the lights of home
Shall appear on the golden strand. [Refrain]
