87. The Voice Divine

1 I heard a voice, ‘twas low and sweet,
It still’d each doubt, it hush’d each fear;
To Christ it led my wand’ring feet,
In Him I found a hope that’s dear.

Refrain:
O joy to know that Christ is mine!
His words of love I hear,
While He speaks to me in voice divine,
My life is fill’d with heav’nly cheer.

2 It comes to me from day to day,
This voice which makes my joys increase;
Its words of truth I must obey,
If I would walk in paths of peace. [Refrain]

3 The voice which speaks of love divine!
It fills my life with heav’nly cheer;
My heart is glad, for Christ is mine,
I fear no ill, for He is near. [Refrain]
