1 Many are seeking a helper,
Many are craving a friend,
Work where the need is the greatest,
Go where the Master shall send.

Life has many duties,
Work for those in need,
Lift a heavy burden,
Christ will bless the deed;
Light a darkened pathway,
Cheer a saddened heart,
Shirk no task that’s given,—
Do you part!

2 Some by the wayside have fallen,
Crushed by the load that they bear;
Strengthen their lives for the journey,

3 Others are wand’ring in darkness,
Groping along in the night;
Point to the path which is narrow,
