Spoken tenderly to all
Who have shared in Adam's fall:
We beseech Thee, hear us.

11 By the nature Jesus wore,
By the stripes and death He bore,
By His life for evermore:

12 By the love that longs to bless,
Pitying our sore distress,
Leading us to holiness:

13 By the love so calm and strong,
Patient still to suffer wrong
And our day of grace prolong:
