16359. My Savior Is Precious To Me

1 Here I wander in need of the things of this life,
Asking help of the great worldly throng;
But alone I must struggle to stand in the strife,
While my heart sings aloud this sweet song.

Refrain:
O my Savior is precious to me,
And so precious He ever will be;
He’s my comfort and light,
Both by day and by night,
Yes, my Savior is precious to me.

2 I could not go alone without Jesus my king,
For the way is so rugged and steep;
But when He is along I look upward and sing,
For my Savior my spirit will keep. [Refrain]

3 I shall fear not the tempest that sweeps o’er my way,
For the Lord is my shepherd I know;
He will lead me and keep me each step of the way,
So to Jesus for refuge I go. [Refrain]
