1 Have you heard the glorious message
Of our coming Lord and king?
Then the saints shall shout hosannas,
And with holy angels sing.
When our friends and all our loved ones,
Who are hid in death’s embrace,
O’er the grave shall claim the victory,
And arise to see His face.
Refrain:
Then shout aloud His praises,
The Lord of hosts shall reign;
He’s coming soon in glory,
The Lamb for sinners slain;
Ten thousand holy angels,
And all the ransomed throng,
Shall fill the courts of Heaven,
With glad triumphant song.
2 Like a lightning flash from Heaven
Will that glorious coming be;
Then the wicked and the scoffers
Shall with trembling bow the knee;
They will call upon the mountains,
And the hills and rocks to hide;
From the glory of His presence,
Of the One they crucified. [Refrain]
3 Will you be among the number
Who shall fear to see His face?
Will you stand brave and victorious,
And triumphant in His grace?
You’ve but little time to seek Him,
For the day of God is nigh;
O then give your heart to Jesus,
And He’ll welcome you on high. [Refrain]
4 Sinner, listen to the message;
’Tis the Savior’s loving call.
’Tis the last grand invitation:
It is free for one and all;
He will fill you with His Spirit,
And with hope and joy and love;
You will long for His appearing,
And you’ll live with Him above. [Refrain]
