34. My Refuge All the While

1 When the billows rise and threaten me,
When the tempter would defile,
To the Saviour of my soul I flee,
He’s my refuge all the while.

I’ve been happy all the while since He came,
When storms are o’er me sweeping,
I still am in His keeping,

2 When the pleasures of this world allure,
When they tempt me with their smile;
When I seek the Lord I feel secure,
He’s my refuge all the while. [Refrain]

3 He will keep me by His saving grace,
Strong and faithful, free from guile,
Till in glory I behold His face,
