CCEL's ThML DTD

You are here

I've been trying to use the W3C XML validator to check a new text, but I keep getting messages like "could not get "/dtd/HTMLspecialx.ent" from "ccel.org" (reason given was "Service Temporarily Unavailable")".

The last two books I validated were Canada-only, so it's probably been 6-8 weeks since I last tried this (and it worked then.)

Is something wrong with the CCEL dtd directory?

Comments

I just tried it and it seemed to work. Try again?

I tried www.ccel.org and ccel.org both, with the same results.

The "text from the line" happens to be plucked out of the middle of a block of CSS: which is a problem in the W3C process, it shows line ### from the file being validated even when (as I believe) the problem is with the same line# in one of the DTD files. I played around with the source to confirm that those lines aren't relevant.

I should add, I tried re-validating one of the two books I had validated successfully in November--this time around, it failed in the same way as the new book.
