Samuel Gottlob Auberlen, born at Feilbach, near Stuttgart, Nov. 23, 1758, died at Ulm after 1824. Organist; after having occupied positions as conductor, Conzertmeister, and organist at Zürich, Stuttgart, Zofingen, Winterthur, Tübingen, and Schaffhausen, under constant adversities, which he has described in an autobiography (Ulm, 1824), he was finally appointed organist and musical director at the Cathedral of Ulm in 1819.
