Drewett studied at the Royal Academy of Music under Charles Steggall, and served as organist at Harecourt Congregational Chapel, London; the German Lutheran Church, Dalston (1893-1905); and the German Embassy Church, Brompton (1905-14); and the Church of King Charles the Martyr, Tunbridge Wells (1907-24).
