William Andrew Grambling, (sometimes spelled Gramling), born in 1783 in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. He was a minister in the Methodist Episcopal Church. He composed at least five tunes which can be found in The Southern Harmony. He died in 1874 in Cherokee County, Georgia.
